RamCT and Java
RamCT relies on the software program Java to properly display content and to upload files. There should be only one version of Java on your computer. We recommend installing the version listed below that has been certified to work well with RamCT.
Windows PC and Java
Download and Install CSU’s Recommended Version of Java for Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista:

-This provides information on how to find what version of Java is installed on your computer, how to uninstall previous versions of Java and how to install the CSU recommended version
NOTE: The following versions of Java work well with RamCT:
- Java version 6, update 14 (recommended; most current for Fall 2009)
- Java version 6, update 11
- Use this link to download the CSU recommended version of Java
- You will be prompted to Run or Cancel the installation. Select Run
- On the License Agreement page select the Typical setup option and click on Accept (Uncheck options to install Open Office or the Yahoo tool bar).
- This will begin the installation of Java on your computer
- Continue to the RamCT login page and click on the Browser Check link.
- Complete this check to insure your computer is ready to use RamCT.
Apple Computers and Java
For Apple computers running Mac OS X, use the most recent version of Java provided by Apple. Under System Preferences | System select Software Update. This will check for any updates needed for your computer including any Java updates.
