Grade Incompletes in RamCT

Accommodating Grade Incompletes is the Instructor’s choice. For Incompletes in RamCT instructors may choose either:

  • Finish in Current Section: It is recommended that for finishing a Grade Incomplete, instructors simply add the student to the RamCT section that is being taught in the current semester as an “Auditor”. Instructions for adding an Auditor. This enables the instructor to manage the Incomplete along with the normal class work, and the student to interact with others in the class.

  • Finish in Original Section: If there is no section currently being taught, or if the student has already accomplished work that is not easily moved to a current section, the instructor may allow the student to finish an Incomplete in the original RamCT section.

Note: When allowing a student to finish an Incomplete in a RamCT section from a previous semester, ALL students who were enrolled see the link in their Course List and must be “Denied Access” for the duration of the Incomplete extension. In consideration, please close student access as soon as possible.

  1. For one year after the section was taught, RamCT sections remain on the system Closed to students but Open to instructors. During this time, the instructor can provide access to the student by changing the student access settings on the original RamCT section. Instructions for Managing Student Access.

  2. The second year after a section was taught, RamCT sections remain on the system but are Closed to both students and instructors. To allow extensions for Incompletes during this time, the instructor will first need to request an exception to the Close/Delete Policy from their college’s RamCT Coordinator to gain access to the section themselves, and then can change the student access settings for the student as above.
