ARIESweb - New Way To Access Valuable Service
With the RamPoint portal going away at the end of June 2009 instructors needed a way to access ARIESweb. The good folks at the Registrar's Office have provided a direct link to this crucial service: http://ariesweb.colostate.edu
Information on how to use ARIESweb to request RamCT sections is posted here.
RamCT and Internet Explorer 8, Safari 4
This latest version of Microsoft's web browser does not work well with RamCT. But users can turn on IE 8's Compatibility View option which should help. Learn how.
At this time, Safari 4 does not work well with RamCT. We recommend using Safari 3 or Firefox 3 until the compatibility issues can be resolved.
RamCT Summer & Fall Sections
Instructors, you may begin requesting your RamCT sections for summer and fall now. Remember you must be assigned in ARIES as the primary instructor for a course to request a RamCT section; if combining sections in RamCT, make sure you are assigned to each of your sections in ARIES First. For more info see the “New Section Checklist”.
Student Access to Summer Sections:
This year ALL for credit summer sections will be treated as ONE semester! This is a change. Note that student access for ALL summer RamCT classes opens and closes on the same dates, regardless of whether they are Term 1, 2, or 3, four, eight, or sixteen week classes.
- All Summer Sections Open - Friday before semester begins, May 15, 2009, 8am
- All Summer Sections Close ~ 2 weeks after finals, August 21, 2009, 8am
Plan ahead – Instructors can manage student access for their sections!
- Won’t have your content ready before May 15?
- Need to open student access early (or later)?
- Need to close student access later (or early)?
Instructors can manually adjust student access on RamCT sections; see instructions on our Student Access page.
Good Ideas:
Section Backups & Grade Book Downloads
Instructors, it is recommended that you make a copy of your grade book to your network drive and download a section backup before/after making major changes, and at the end of each semester. More info see Section Life and Backups.
