SAFEASSIGN Known Issues

Issue: Cannot edit a SafeAssignment after it has been created.

After an instructor creates a SafeAssignment if they try to then edit the properties of that assignment they receive an error.

We are checking with Black Board to see if this is a known issue.

Workaround: If no one has taken the assignment yet, delete the SafeAssignment and create it again with the new properties.

Issue: Not all of the students in your RamCT section may initially appear on the Assigned to” list.

We are checking with Black Boare to see if this is a known issue.

Workaround: The first time a student who is not on the list clicks on the SafeAssign link that you created in your section, they will then be added to the “Assigned to list”. 

Issue: SafeAssign times out after about 20 - 25minutes; students and instructors receive a "system time out " error.

After about 20 - 25 minutes of inactivity, a student or instructor will no longer have access to their SafeAssign window. This time out value is controlled by SafeAssign; we cannot change that value.

Workaroud: Either quickly create, read or submit assignments when working in SafeAssign. Or, if you get a "system time out" error, you need to go back to the Course Content page in your RamCT section and then click on the SafeAssign link again.
